Photo Kanther
My practice is generally at capacity, and I am likely unable to accept new patients at this time. My sincere apologies, and best wishes for finding a good fit. Do not give up!
Here for you.
Welcome and thank you for visiting. Dr. Kanther is a Stanford trained psychologist practicing out of Bellevue, Washington with licenses in California and Washington. Through her membership in PsyPact, she is also able to offer teletherapy across many states. Look up PsyPact for more information on what states qualify. Her cognitive behavioral approach intends to help you better understand yourself and move forward. Please read her therapy perspective on the next page for some insight into what that means! Dr. Kanther offers complimentary phone consultations to explore your questions, hesitations, and hopes to see how best she can help you. Openings in her practice are limited, so please call or email to inquire. Dr. Kanther continues to offer in person sessions, and also offers teletherapy. Because she has your best interests in mind, if after initiating therapy together a good fit is not established, (because of scheduling challenges, treatment needs, her specialties, her terrible jokes, etc.) Dr. Kanther will help you find another therapist.
Dr. Kanther serves as Clinical Consultant to the Judicial Assistance Services Program (JASP) for Washington State Judges. These are confidential, privileged contacts. If you are calling for JASP, please leave a voicemail.
Dr. Kanther's practice does not accept insurance. While many patients prefer enhanced confidentiality, there are obvious financial benefits to seeking reimbursement from your insurance. Dr. Kanther can provide a Superbill for her out-of-network services, and will discuss the benefits and considerations thereof. Session fees are based on usual and customary rates for her level of training and practice location.
Dr. Kanther was selected for the 2014 San Francisco Award in the Mental Health Clinics Category by the San Francisco Award Program; Dr. Kanther closed her physical office in San Francisco in 2015 and practices exclusively out of Bellevue, WA.
